West Northamptonshire Council are soon to consider whether to introduce the Daventry area 1, 2, 3+ waste collection system to most homes in the area. If adopted, Cosgrove will have a different cycle of waste collections that are expected to better match the amount of waste that is put out in each of the wheelie bins.
The council is proposing the change to create a single, consistent system across West Northamptonshire, improve recycling rates and reduce costs.

It is proposed that food waste will continue to be collected on a weekly basis. Recycling will have the number of items that can be recycled at home increased, with collections made fortnightly. General waste will be collected every three weeks.
